Minutes of the September 19, 2026, C.C.A.R.C. Meeting

Ed, K9PSR, Vice-President called the meeting to order at 9:02 a.m.

Secretary’s Report:

Jerry, KD9TSH, presented the minutes of August 15, 2026, meeting. The members approved the secretary’s report as read by Jerry, KD9TSH.

Treasurer’s Report:

We had no official treasurer’s report at today’s meeting.

Bills: 

Post Office Box rental -- $132.00 for 1 year.

Donation to the Cass County Humane Society in Dave Wandrei, N9WCQ -- $50.00

We had a motion and passed to pay the bills.

Net Control Manager

Tom, KB9WSL, reported that he has no NCS for September 24th net. Tom, KB9WSL said. Tom, KB9WSL, reported that we are averaging around 10 or 11 check-ins.

Repeaters

Sven, K9SEB, was not at today’s meeting to provide a report on the repeaters. Members expressed concern that not able to hear the UHF repeater around Peru and Rochester. One member said he could bring the repeater up with his handheld by Lafayette.

Special Events (Pass, Future, and Current)

Frances Slocum State Forest (US-7841) for a possible POTA event. Frances Slocum State Forest is located over by Peru, IN.

Inventory/Membership/Website

Inventory – Jerry, KD9TSH, going to start the inventory right after today’s meeting.

Website – Jerry, KD9TSH, gave a report that he has posted the minutes on the website.

Election of Treasurer

In the recent passing of Dave, N9WCQ, we had a motion for Jerry Hoch, KD9TSH, to become the treasurer. The motion has passed for Jerry, KD9TSH to become treasurer.

During the meeting we had a motion to remove Dave Wandrei, N9WCQ and add Jerry Hoch, KD9TSH, Dan McDonald, KV9N, Ed Norris, K9PSR to the checking and savings account. This motion was passed to make this change. 

Reports from other clubs

Tom, KB9WSL, reported that the Fulton County Amateur Club; couple of the ARES members download a program called “Skywarn Console” created by WX8ILN, Wilmington Regional Skywarn out of Clinton County, Ohio. Website https://wilmingtonskywarn.org.

Miscellaneous Information

Ed, K9PSR, check on the banner to get a replacement for the banner since we changed our email address, this is on the banner. Ed, K9PSR, going to take the banner back to Priceless to correct the email address on the banner.

We had a donation of $3.00

Next month’s meeting will be on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
